Organization for Autism Research

Danielle,

I apologize for my delay in responding. Good luck in your interesting project.

When we break things into unit costs, there are a number of things that $2.00 will buy relative to OAR’s mission and programs (OAR = Organization for Autism Research). Here are a few examples:

$2.00 will pay for:

1. The production cost for:

· One Understanding Asperger Syndrome: A Professor’s Guide DVD. An instructional video intended to educate college professors teaching students with Asperger Syndrome.

· One Life Journey through Autism resource CD. A CD with copies of the five publications in OAR’s Life Journey through Autism series, four Spanish translations, and the Best of The OARacle, a compilation of the best articles in OAR’s newsletter from 2002-2007.

2. Small toys or snacks used as rewards or incentives for children participating in autism research studies.

3. Postage for four “thank you” letters to people making donations in support of autism research.

I hope these examples are useful for your purposes. Thanks again and good luck.

Mike
